Dr. Lalande was the keynote speaker at the Angelman Syndrome Foundation meeting in Anaheim, CA in July 2005.

Graduate students M. Calciano, V. Sotirova and D. Colosi presented research posters at the American Society of Human Genetics meeting in Salt Lake City, UT in October 2005.

Graduate student Margaret Calciano presented a poster at the Regulatory RNAs meeting at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, NY in May 2006.

Dr. Lalande presented an invited talk at the Behavioral Genetics Association meeting in Storrs, CT in June 2006.

Lalande serves on the scientific advisory board of the national Rett Syndrome Research Foundation, Cincinnati, OH and the on the Strategic and Scientific Initiatives Council of Genome Quebec, Montreal, Canada.

Lalande is an Associate Editor of the scientific journal Neurogenetics. He is also is a peer reviewer for a number of other scholarly publications in the areas of genetics and molecular biology.
