eff-1p::GFP, stereo 4-D

To control the QTVR's, click in the movie window and drag the mouse left-right to move forward through time, up-down to move through focus or rotation. Once clicked, a movie can also be animated step-wise with the keyboard arrow keys. Running animation and speed can be controlled by clicking on the edges of the movie window.

Rotatable, time-animated 3D projections of an embryo expressing cytoplasmic GFP under the control of the eff-1 promoter. Timecourse progression from ~60 cell stage through 1.5-fold elongation and the onset of movement (200-450 minutes after first cleavage) in ~5 minute time steps. Recording was made by confocal laser-scanning microscopy using a 488nm argon laser. This can be animated forward-backward in time and around the X and Y axes in rotation.

NOTE:  QTVR movies are large, and may take several minutes to download in full.  However, you can view the movie as it is downloading!  Viewing all the way through the time dimension of a QTVR movie is possible when only 3% of the data has downloaded (usually within a few seconds).  Navigation through space becomes more extensive as the download progresses, but will not be fully possible until the full file is downloaded.  You can monitor the download by looking at the progress bar at the bottom left of your browser window.  The downloaded file will reside temporarily in the "Cache" or "Temporary" folder for you browser.  To save a local copy of the file, find the temporary version on your hard disk, and move/copy it to another folder.
